Rattlesnake Island is listed between Snag Hole and Drive-In Hole in our Three Mile to Bighorn Access guide. Its approximate river-mile reference is 4.4 below the Afterbay. The Bighorn River Alliance documents the Rattlesnake side-channel reconnection in 2021 and subsequent monitoring. That history is useful context when comparing older maps with the river today.
