Juniper Channel is listed between $20 Hole and Mountain Pocket in our Three Mile to Bighorn Access guide. Its approximate river-mile reference is 7 below the Afterbay. Older references sometimes use Pipeline or Pipeline Channel around this area; compare the map as well as the name. The Bighorn River Alliance documents the Juniper side-channel reconnection in 2021 and subsequent monitoring. That history is useful context when comparing older maps with the river today.
